The course will have four main parts spread throughout the semester (or throughout 2 weeks in short courses) as follow:

  • Understanding the Natural & Built Environment

2- Contemporary Environmental Challenges

  • Water & Waste Water
  • Urbanization & Deforestation
  • Climate Change
  • Social Justice

3- Institutions’ Role & Across Scales Planning

  • Institutions & Environmental Policy/Planning – Local
  • Institutions & Environmental Policy/Planning – Regional / Interstate
  • Institutions & Environmental Policy/Planning – Federal & International

4- Evaluation & Assessment of Selected Projects

  • Environmental Sustainability Debate
  • Analysis of Existing Project (urban, infrastructure, ecology)
  • Analysis of Existing project – continued (social, institutional, management/maintenance)
  • Presentation of Final Report
